Welcome to Glug-Glug.com

....where we introduce a finely chosen selection of wines from South-West France. We cherry-pick growths from areas such as Bergerac, (including Pécharmant, Monbazillac & Saussignac), Marmande, Buzet, Saint Mont, Madiran, Tursan, Cahors, Fronton, Gaillac and Jurançon There are a whole host of little-known cépages (grape varieties) to discover.

The powerful red Tannat is supported by Fer Servadou, Arbouriou, Negrette, Cot and Syrah alongside better known varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon and Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Malbec. Pacherenc, Arrufiac, Gros and Petit Manseng and Courbu nuzzle beside our standard Sauvignon, Semillon and Muscadelle whites. Also, we have a short, but exciting range from our neighbours near St Emilion, where we have made our home.

For us a strong empathy exists with the grape growing (viticulture), the cellar where the wine is produced (vinification) and, of course your table where it is appreciated in the glass (hence the title!) Several of the reds, and some whites have interesting oaky characteristics through ageing in barrels, which is a method enjoying a re-birth. Many newcomers to the world of wine welcome their heady depth. Of course, the crisp clean and delectably fruity whites are being met with equal enthusiasm.
