We believe our wines should speak for themselves. We organise regular tastings for you to meet and experience them. |
After due consideration we have decided to compact our current listings of South-West wines and limit the selections to two or, possibly, three growers per area. However, we do not intend to stifle the consumer’s choice; but rather to expand it, to encompass growing areas further afield. In the New Year I shall be visiting Viticulteurs in the Languedoc, Roussillon which takes in the Corbières, Limoux, Minervois, St Chinian, Picpoul de Pinet, Costières du Gard and many many more smaller growths.
2006 will bring wines from regions as yet untouched by us. We have ventured further south. It is intended to progress towards the Mediterranean where full bodied warm powerful wines based on the Mourvedre, Syrah, Cinsault, Grenache and the widely used Carignan are found. These fine examples will filter through onto the tasting tables when we receive our samples.
I think there are some twenty or more areas with little gems waiting to be discovered. In this manner, I feel that you will have the full gamut of South-West wines displayed before you. It may well entail selective tastings as it would be disconcerting to have the whole list before you at one ‘go’.
My advice is to ‘Watch This Space’. |
